This workbook is for the days when your energy is low, your brain feels foggy, and you look at your to-do list and think, "Nope".
Low spoon days can happen for so many reasons. Maybe you are managing a chronic illness, going through burnout, or just recovering from a week that asked way too much of you. Whatever it is, it takes away your energy in a way that "just rest" will not magically fix.
When I say "self-care" in the context of this workbook, I don't mean curl up on the couch and rest with a heating pad and your favorite comfort show (but yes, please do that too) but I also mean taking a look at your emotional landscape and trying to understand it. Looking at what tasks you have to do and seeing if there's any way possible you can make them the tiniest bit easier. And paying attention to the outside stuff that's just making things harder.
It's about noticing what you actually have available, lowering the bar without guilt, naming what's hard, and finding tiny ways to support yourself.
One thing youāll notice right away: this workbook has a lot of checklists.
That was intentional. When you are having a low spoon day, open-ended journaling can feel like too much. Your brain is like "No. Not another thing I have to do." And sometimes all you can see is the loudest thing: pain, exhaustion, brain fog, a flare, overwhelm, etc. The checklists are there to make reflection easier and I hope they do that! They'll (hopefully) help you see the bigger picture without having to pull every word out of your tired brain from scratch.
